FOLIAGE DINNER TRAIN

Come join Champlain Tours for a Fall Foliage Special! We’ll depart Northern Vermont for the Meredith, NH Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad and head north on the "Hobo Turkey Train" over Ashland Summit then across the Ashland High Trestle. We’ll continue our ride north passing through the Bonnie Brae Deer Farm and the Glove Hollow Christmas Tree Farm in Bridgewater, NH before arriving in Plymouth, NH. Our destination is the Common Man Inn & Spa located on the north side of town. Once there, we’ll step off the train and cross the parking lot to the Common Man Inn where we’ll gather in the dining room for a tasty hot hot buffet lunch.

 

Following lunch, you’re welcome to visit the Common Man Inn’s Gift Shop which is filled with NH-made gifts before returning to the train. Once everyone has boarded, we’ll depart the Common Man Inn and travel south through Plymouth to Ashland, NH where we’ll stop at the restored 1869 Ashland Railroad Station for a guided tour. We’ll be greeted by members of the Ashland Historical Society dressed in 1860’s attire who will be our Tour Guides.

 

Following the guided tours, we’ll re-board the train for the final time and continue south over Ashland Summit passing Lake Waukewan before we arrive at Meredith Station.

• Buffet Menu: Hot soup, roast turkey, mashed potato, stuffing, gravy, butternut squash, lasagna, vegetarian stir fry, rolls & butter, coffee, tea & cold beverages and an assortment of freshly baked cookies for dessert.
